If your list is mostly addresses you know are student housing with no box numbers, send the list back to info@womensvote.turningncblue.com go to http://turningncblue.com/letters.php put in your email, spam filter words and hit submit. A new email with more names will be sent.
You may see a name with an out of county address. This woman is probably a student who lives here but goes to school at her mailing address. She may vote absentee. You should mail to her mailing address. If her zip code is not complete, please go to https://tools.usps.com/go/ZipLookupAction!input.action to look up her zip code. She is probably a prime target for us. You can send her an Obama Straight Flip card for your county and also refer her to our blog to find a card for the county she resides in, because you won’t know where she is voting. ACCESSING OBAMA STRAIGHT FLIP CARDS
99 Cards are ready. We do not yet have information from Gates. If you do, please send it to us. Thanks to Helen and her crew for getting these done. We want to distribut these as widely as possible. Print them out and take to your local party headquarters, distribute during canvasses and voter registration drives, at events and when walking around your county. Give them to men voters too! Passing out Obama Straight Flip cards is a way men can be involved, since no letter writing.
To print out your county’s card:
Go to Obama Straight Flip Card Category in the Banner
Key in your county in the Search field to the right
When the title comes up, click on that, then click on the attachment.
Print the document on both sides of the page, preferably using card stock.
Then cut the cards (most come 4 to a page, although some counties have less cards to a page).
Insert the cards in your letter to save time writing locations, endorsements and explanation of straight party voting.
Encourage your voters to bring their cards with them to the polls.
These cards are great to distribute to your friends, and all voters in your county, not just as part of the letter writing project.
